Culpeper MinuteMen Flag – Liberty or Death Flags – White Dont Tread on Me Flag

This is a re-imagined version of the original “Don’t Tread On Me Flag,” which is believed to have been used by the Culpeper Minutemen during Colonial America—a group known for their rallying cry, “Liberty or Death.” Although not definitively proven, this flag is thought to be the one first raised by the Minute Men when they confronted British forces at the dawn of the Revolutionary War.
The design features a rattlesnake positioned above the bold warning, “DON’T TREAD ON ME.” The rattlesnake had become a natural emblem of the American Colonies, largely because it was indigenous only to this region. The phrase itself draws on the snake’s deadly ability to strike, serving as a metaphor for the principle that some threats are best left undisturbed.
Additionally, the snake’s form is said to mirror the outline of the American Colonies, with its tail representing the Florida peninsula and its head symbolizing New England.
