American Flag – Mercerized Cotton Blend Material Specially Made for Outdoor Display
This 50-Star USA flag is American made of traditional heavy-weight 2×2 ply mercerized cotton bunting, with embroidered stars and sewn stripes.
3 x 5 foot size is unique cotton suitable for outdoor use. This is our only flag that is cotton for this purpose. Manufactured carefully using 2×2 ply mercerized cotton bunting. This extra heave weave actually exceeds US Government specifications. Our most modern dyeing techniques ensure brilliant colors that are resistant to fading due to rain and sun. Mercerised cotton is a special kind of yarn that is more lustrous than conventional cotton. Mercerised cotton is stronger, produces less lint and is more resistant to mildew. The process improves dye uptake, and tear strength, reduces fabric shrinkage and imparts a silk-like sheen.
5 x 9 1/2 foot flag size is suitable for use on a memorial service casket for funerals. The cotton is mercerized, a process that strengthens the fibers and adds luster to the fabric. The dye technique used ensures brilliant colors that are fast to sun and rain. The grommets are solid brass.
